Welcome!

Hey there, and welcome to my little corner of the internet!

First of all, thank you for clicking on this blog. Whether you were looking for business analytics tips, cycling routes, or a much-needed distraction from whatever you’re supposed to be doing right now, I promise you’ve found the right place (well, maybe not for the last one, but who am I to judge?).

So, who am I, and why should you care? Fair question. Let me tell you.

Who Am I?

I’m just a guy who loves learning, creating, and getting lost in interesting topics. I am currently pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics from Ivey Business School, Western University, which means I spend my days digging through data, making sense of patterns, and pretending to understand AI (okay, I really do understand AI, but I have to throw in the mystery). I’ve worked across a variety of sectors—healthcare, public services, corporate environments—because, why settle for just one? Life’s too short not to explore!

But I’m not just a data nerd (I promise). When I’m not buried in Excel sheets, you’ll catch me indulging in my other passions. I’m talking about everything from cycling and culinary tourism to economic policy (yes, I’m that person) and ESG trends. You know, very typical.

What’s This Blog All About?

This blog is where I share my insights, experiences, and yes, the occasional rant. So buckle up, here’s what you can expect:

1. Business Analytics and Data Science

Did you know that predictive analytics can save businesses millions? Well, if you didn’t, you should probably keep reading. Here, I’ll break down data science, machine learning, and all the other cool stuff I work with into bite-sized, digestible pieces (I will try to translate the annoying jargon). I’ll also share some of my personal stories from the trenches—like the time I thought I had solved a complex predictive model, only to realize I had swapped the dependent and independent variables.

2. Tech, Innovation, and Things That Make My Brain Hurt

If you’re a tech enthusiast (or a person who just likes to feel slightly smarter after reading a blog), I’ll dive into everything from the role of AI in business to the most recent technological innovations that might just change the world as we know it. You’ll also find some “tech deep dives” that could leave your brain in need of a nap, but hey, at least you’ll learn something cool, right?

3. Career Insights, Growth, and Self-Help

Sometimes life feels like a constant series of decisions that all lead to the same place: confusion. Whether you’re in school, starting your career, or just trying to make sense of your next move, I’ll offer tips on navigating the ever-changing job market. I’ll keep it real, no self-help fluff—just practical advice you can actually use. And because I don’t have it figured out either yet, I’ll share my personal growth journey along the way. I’ve made way too many mistakes to count, but I’ve learned a lot along the way.

4. Cycling Adventures: Because Who Doesn’t Love a Good Ride?

When I’m not buried in spreadsheets, you’ll find me on my bike, grinding out gravel trails or racing down the road. Cycling is a big part of my life, and it teaches me more about strategy and perseverance than any meeting ever could. I’ll share route reviews and recommendations, and occasionally complain about that one hill that always feels steeper than it should.

5. Culinary Tourism: Who Needs a Passport When You Live in Toronto?

Food is the gateway to understanding cultures, and let me tell you, I’ve eaten my way through some pretty incredible experiences. From street food adventures to sitting down at a local farm-to-table dinner, this blog is where I share my culinary tourism experiences.

6. Economic Policies in Emerging Economies: Because the World’s More Complex Than We Think

For those of you who enjoy pondering big, world-changing ideas, I’ll dive into economic policies in emerging markets that I find interesting (I have eclectic interests). There’s a lot happening in these regions, and if you’re the type to get excited about trade agreements and growth strategies, well then, we’re probably best friends already.

7. Exploring ESG Trends: Saving the World, One Blog Post at a Time

As companies begin to embrace their responsibility for the environment and society, I’m diving into ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) trends to see what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do better. Trust me, this section might get a little preachy at times, but it’s important—so I’m not apologizing. A lot of these topics are quite polarizing depending on the listener; I promise that it is not that serious and invite you to touch some grass on your next walk.

And Then… Basketball (Because, Honestly, I Need to Vent)

You might be wondering why, in the midst of all this serious data talk, there’s a section on basketball. Well, let me tell you something. I’m a huge basketball fan, and sometimes, the only way I can deal with the stress of watching the Raptors lose is to rant about it to friends. You can expect some passionate, borderline unhinged rants about the latest game, trades, and WHY IS THIS GUY GETTING MINUTES?

Why Stick Around?

You really don’t have to. I just need a place to throw the stuff that I write.
